The Giant Sea Star
The Giant Sea Star is one of the only creatures in the world that has no blood or brain. This species can weigh up to fourteen pounds and measure up to twenty-five inches across. Their diet consists primarily of barnacles, gastropods, and limpets. The Giant Sea Star is an important food source for sea otters and types of seabirds.
