The Lion’s Mane Jellyfish
The pain caused by the sting of this jellyfish is often compared to that of a lion’s bite. However, the lion’s mane jellyfish does not get its name from this. This jellyfish is one of the biggest in the world. They have eight groups of tentacles that feature between 70 and 150 strands. Horrifyingly, the strands can grow up to 120 feet long.
