The Japanese Spider Crab
The leg span of this crab is larger than that of any other arthropod in the world. They can reach up to four meters long and can weigh more than forty pounds. This marine species has eight arms and two feeding arms. The Japanese Spider Crab is an omnivore that scavenges for its food. Their main diet consists of algae, plants, small fish, and dead animals.
